Terms & Conditions — Electrical Works & Services

1. General — These terms and conditions ("Terms") govern all electrical works and services ("Services") provided by E Fix Electrics ("the Company", "we", "us") to any customer ("you", "the Client"). By engaging our Services you agree to be bound by these Terms. These Terms do not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or any other applicable UK legislation.

2. Quotations & Pricing — All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue and are subject to a site survey. Prices are exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise. The Company reserves the right to revise a quotation if the scope of work changes, if concealed or unforeseen conditions are discovered, or if material costs change materially between quotation and commencement. Additional works requested by the Client during the project will be charged at the Company's prevailing day rate.

3. Workmanship Warranty — The Company provides a workmanship warranty on new electrical installations only. The warranty covers defects arising solely from our installation workmanship and does not extend to: (a) accessories, consumables, lamps, or fittings; (b) materials or equipment supplied by the Client; (c) consumer units, fuse boards, or components not supplied by the Company; (d) pre-existing faults or defects in the Client's property or existing installation; (e) damage caused by flood, fire, storm, subsidence, vermin, or any other event beyond our control; (f) fair wear and tear; (g) any modification, alteration, or further work carried out by a third party after our installation. The warranty is non-transferable, applies to the original Client only, and is void if the installation is modified by any party other than the Company. All warranty claims must be submitted in writing within the warranty period and are subject to inspection by the Company.

4. Landlord Certificates & Remedial Works — Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and associated certificates are issued on the basis of the installation as inspected at the time of the visit. The Company accepts no liability for defects or deterioration that arise after the date of inspection. Where remedial works are recommended, it is the Client's responsibility to arrange and fund those works within the timeframe specified. The Company does not guarantee that an EICR will result in a satisfactory outcome. Certificates are issued in accordance with BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations) current at the date of inspection.

5. Limitation of Liability — To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Company's total liability to the Client in respect of any claim arising out of or in connection with the Services (whether in contract, tort, negligence, or otherwise) shall not exceed the total price paid by the Client for the specific Services giving rise to the claim. The Company shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, special, or economic loss including but not limited to loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of data, loss of use, or business interruption. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

6. Client Responsibilities — The Client must ensure safe and unobstructed access to the property and all relevant areas at the agreed time. The Client is responsible for obtaining any necessary consents, permissions, or planning approvals prior to commencement of works. The Client must disclose any known hazards, asbestos, or structural issues before works begin. Failure to do so may result in additional charges and the Company accepts no liability for delays or damage arising from undisclosed hazards.

7. Electrical Safety & Compliance — All notifiable works will be certified and notified to the relevant Building Control authority in accordance with Part P of the Building Regulations. The Company carries out all works in accordance with BS 7671 and applicable UK legislation. The Client must not interfere with, modify, or attempt to repair any electrical installation carried out by the Company. The Company accepts no liability for any damage, injury, or loss arising from the Client's interference with completed works.

8. Damage & Property — The Company will take reasonable care to protect the Client's property during works. Minor making-good (e.g. filling cable channels) is included unless otherwise stated; full redecoration is excluded unless specifically quoted. The Company is not liable for pre-existing damage or for damage to concealed pipes, cables, or structures that could not reasonably have been identified prior to commencement.

9. Payment — Payment is due on completion of works unless otherwise agreed in writing. For larger projects, staged payments may be required as set out in the quotation. The Company reserves the right to charge interest on overdue invoices at 8% per annum above the Bank of England base rate under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998. Title to any materials supplied by the Company remains with the Company until payment is received in full.

10. Cancellation — The Client may cancel a booking with at least 48 hours' notice at no charge. Cancellations with less than 48 hours' notice may incur a cancellation fee equivalent to 50% of the quoted price. Consumer customers have the right to cancel within 14 days of entering into a contract under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, except where works have commenced at the Client's request.

11. Disputes — In the event of a dispute, the parties agree to attempt to resolve the matter amicably in the first instance. If a resolution cannot be reached, either party may refer the dispute to an independent Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) scheme. These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Amendments — The Company reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. The Terms in force at the time of booking shall apply to that engagement. These Terms were last updated November 2026.
